The story, AND future, of Shanti Rejuvenation Center…

When I got my esthetic license in 2006, I had a vision. That vision was to have a business that offered day spa services, fitness classes and integrative medical services. My husband, Jim, and I spent a year looking for a building that would bring the vision to life. During that time, there wasn’t a building available to meet my needs so we settled on finding a smaller place where I could get my skincare business started and use the esthetician license I had earned. We heard that Dr. Latella’s medical office had a room for rent, so we took a look. The room that was available didn’t have a water source, so it wouldn’t work for my business (I ended up turning a room in our home into my skincare venture, while retaining my personal training space), but as we were leaving Jim said to me, “This is a building I would buy!”

In the spring of 2008, I got a call from Jake Pulis asking if I was still looking for a space, even offering to remodel the area to meet my needs. In September 2008, Shanti Wellness Day Spa was launched in the current building at 620 Second Street. In the eleven years the doors have been open, I have been adding and changing services and honing my vision, and in October of 2018 Shanti Rejuvenation Center came into being. The focus of business is now on esthetic treatments and integrative health services.

In January of this year, Jim lost his battle with cancer and in the time since his passing, I’ve been seeking out a direction for my business and my life. I’ve had conversations with myself and a lot of other people. I even considered closing my business and integrating my services into another facility, possibly even a medical office. I was opening up my vision to the universe, through conversations, in hopes of some guidance. Well… the universe, and I think Jim, had ideas! On my way to work on day in July, I noticed that Dr. Latella’s building was up for sale. I made an offer on the move-in ready building with the intention of altering just one bathroom to be ADA compliant. The offer was accepted and after a short escrow, I took possession of the building on August 1, 2019.

Then, one night as I was considering the new bathroom, I realized with this building, I really could make my original dream come true. Therefore, on October 31, 2019, Shanti Rejuvenation Center will be closing the doors on Second Street and reopening on November 1, 2019, at 914 Willson Avenue. I will have many of the same services and adding some wonderful new ones.

One of the exciting new features is the Rejuvenation Wing complete with floatation/deprivation tank, sauna, Joovv (red light therapy) room, as well as full locker room and shower facilities. I will also be adding new Myolift microcurrent facial treatments and Torc body treatments, in addition to the current RF microneedling and other Med Spa services currently offered.

I’m also excited that Garrett Riedemann, L.Ac., will be moving his acupuncture and Chinese medicine practice to the new building. His growing practice is a wonderful addition to the services offered at Shanti.

Finally, to finalize the vision of an organization that offers a variety of health and wellness services, I am actively seeking medical providers that are looking to integrate their talents into a progressive business. I am open to conversations on how to achieve these goals whether its as a part of my business or as a referral partnership/leasor relationship.

I will also have two separate, newly remodeled office spaces available to rent next to Stylerite.

I’m anxious to share my vision with each and every one of you, so feel free to contact me with your questions or if you, or someone you know, is interested in joining me on this adventure.
